Spring is here
Man it's been a while since I've had the motivation to write. I think a lot of that is tied to catching a little bit of the winter blues (finally over), negativity in the blogging spaces (and in the real world for that matter), and all the talk about AI.
What finally pulled me out of my winter slumber was finally getting out to golf with my Grandpop, who just turned 80 – god won't someone stop this train. That and watching the pristine conditions of the Masters. There is just something about the Masters that gets any golfer's itch started up again after winter - the azaleas, the tradition, the calmness leading up to a usually drama filled Sunday; I just love it.
With the spring comes spring cleaning. Whether thats outdoors, indoors, or digital (now for me anyways).
Outdoors we've cleaned up the yard a bit, cut the lawn for the first time this year which involved me getting a limb from a fallen tree over the winter jammed up in the mower deck and burning out the deck belt (idiot), this was after I already removed the mower deck to sharpen the blades. We also cleared out a space for a trampoline that my kids have been chomping at the bit for since Christmas. Those kids needed to get outside and get some energy out instead of draining me and my wifes while they ran amuck inside.
As for digital cleanup, I realized that my phone was becoming cluttered with apps that were draining my free time again. So I really need to do a cleanup of the time sinks that provide me with nothing. Thankfully I've still been enjoying reading and have finished a few books so far this year. For some easier reading and to replace watching videos or using time sink apps I've enjoyed casually reading the Dragon Ball manga, its a bit of nostalgia hit from the days of watching the show with buddies after school.
Anyways, I'm hoping to start writing more again.
Until next time! ✌️
